Former Double Fine VP Greg Rice takes new job at Sony

Last month, Double Fine’s business development vice president, Greg Rice, announced he would be leaving his publishing role at the Psychonauts developer to “set off on some new adventures”, promising that he had “something really cool lined up”. This week, we’ve found out where Rice has landed – he’ll be the global head of indie accounts at Sony Interactive Entertainment.

“Very excited to announce I’m joining the amazing team at Sony Interactive Entertainment as the Global Head of Indie Accounts,” Rice wrote on Twitter. “I’ll be managing all independent developer and publisher accounts and building new initiatives to support indies big and small from all over the world.”

In the months following its acquisition by Microsoft, the future of Double Fine’s publishing arm became uncertain, leading to Rice’s departure.

We wish him good luck in his new role at SIE.
